ChartWorld ECDIS training alliance
ChartWorld International has selected MSG MarineServe GmbH, its sister company Safebridge GmbH and the ECDIS Training Consortium (ETC) as its official training partner for the new ChartWorld eSeries, a “ECDIS as a Service” concept. MSG Marine and Safebridge will provide a complete eSeries training package, which encompasses both generic and type-specific training using a combination of traditional class based training and advanced web-based E-Learning programs.
ChartWorld’s new “ECDIS as a Service” called eSeries is a unique solution for shipping companies to comply with SOLAS ECDIS requirements. It comprises a customised ‘Going Paperless Action Plan’, the ECDIS, tailored SENC data services and an only one of its kind service & support concept.
The MSG Marine Serve and Safebridge training package represents a core part of the eSeries concept. Commenting on the new collaboration, Stephan Dimke, ChartWorld Sales Director, said:
“The new blend of traditional class room based training and advanced E-Learning programs offered by MSG MarineServe and Safebridge is the perfect complement to the ChartWorld “ECDIS as a Service” philosophy. It is not only a major contribution to safety but also dramatically simplifies the problem of delivering crew training on a worldwide basis in order to maintain maximum crew flexibility and availability.
The whole ChartWorld philosophy is to promote the wider use of ECDIS by giving our customers a packaged service that maximizes their freedom and flexibility and make ECDIS truly accessible and affordable for all shipping companies. Working with MSG MarineServe and Safebridge fits that model perfectly.”
MSG MarineServe GmbH and its sister company Safebridge GmbH are established maritime training companies providing training solutions covering IMO, flag state and ISPS Code requirements. MSG has been appointed to act as approved training agent and preferred equipment-specific training provider for various ECDIS manufacturers.
