optimum safety and functionality
Total Tide contains all standard and additional information included in Admiralty Tide Tables, including Chart Date Connections and tidal levels for Standard Ports, plus periods of daylight and nautical twilight, moon phases and a springs and neaps indicator. Special night and twilight display options ensure optimum visibility at all times.
annual update service
The harmonic data used in Total Tide is updated annually to ensure accuracy of predictions. Whilst TotalTide will continue to predict tidal height and tidal streams indefinitely, the UKHO recommends that users update Area Data Sets every twelve months in order to maintain accuracy. Annual Updates can be purchased each January.
important note:
The UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) accepts Total Tide as meeting the requirement to carry Tide Tables under the Merchant Shipping (Carriage of Nautical Publications) Regulations 1998, to be superseded by the Merchant Shipping (Safety of Navigation) Regulations 2002 on 01 July 2002. It should be noted that other non-UK regulatory authorities may currently regard TotalTide purely as an aid to navigation and not as a paper product equivalent.
