ChartBrowser
Free download to select your charts OFFLINE!
ChartBrowser is a service program to manually select and combine electronic charts (ENCs) of different origin and /or paper charts (BA charts) into one single package.
The offline selection is fully compatible with our online shop system!
Based on this selection chart agents can create offers, and customer's orders can be placed. The data to be ordered are saved to a so-called Basket, and will then be transmitted to ChartWorld.
ChartBrowser allows the customer to view, supplement, replace, renew, and optimise the charts currently present aboard at any time. This is supported by various search options, e.g. manual route selection, search for specific port names, creation of lists, etc.
The ChartBrowser unifies all mayor chart catalogues.
- PRIMAR
- IC-ENC/UKHO
- NAVIONICS
Displays vector and paper charts coverage
In many coastal waters ECDIS systems cannot be used for navigation without a paper chart backup if ENCs are not available. Under such circumstances captains and ship operators have great difficulties to optimize their portfolio of paper charts and ENCs using the non-integrated chart catalogues of UKHO, IC-ENC, PRIMAR and national HOs.
The new ChartBrowser by ChartWorld solves this problem in a ground-breaking way. The software unifies the ENC and vector chart catalogues by PRIMAR, IC-ENC/UKHO, and NAVIONICS to be able to intersect them with the coverage of ARCS and BA paper charts. Navigators can overlay a ship"s route to compute the ENC, ARCS
and paper chart coverage for a safe passage.
Special calculator functions subtract paper charts from ENCs or ARCS to minimize chart carriage according to national regulation. An inventory function filters charts and ENCs that are already on board. The resulting list of needed charts and ENCs can be uploaded or emailed to www.chartworld.com for online ordering.
